Prof. Luis Arlantico Tattao, a faculty member from the College of Engineering has won Best Paper Award (2nd Runner-Up) during the 12th Philippine Association for Researchers and Statistical Software Users (PARSSU) International Conference-Workshop which was held at the HERO Learning Commons, Caraga State University, Butuan City. This award merits Prof. Tattao monetary incentive from the University.

Prof. Tattao’s research paper titled Validation of Faculty Performance Evaluation Instrument using Confirmatoy Factory Analysis stood out among a number of submissions from renowned statisticians in the Philippines. In his study, Prof. Tattao, along with Ms. Grace Davis, developed an evaluation instrument to gauge the performance of faculty members in the flexible learning mode of delivery. He used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to determine the factor structure of the faculty assessment tool that can be used to assess faculty effectiveness in flexible learning delivery. In his study, he was able to establish the validity of the FLDEI questionnaire’s measuring approach and the veracity of its constructs, making the performance evaluation instrument appropriate for use in light of the flexible learning mode of instruction.

PARSSU is renowned for its rigorous selection process and attracts top minds from the discipline. Prof. Tattao’s accomplishment reflects their expertise in the field of statistics and their efforts to continuously strive to make a significant impact among researchers and students to pursue research and innovation.
