Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an academic building in the Mid La Union Campus.
The ceremony was led by Cong. Francisco Paolo P. Ortega V, Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., and District Engineer Jose G. Ginete, Jr. The Php 250 million MLUC Sports Complex project is expected to be completed within two years and will provide sports and academic amenities such as a multi-purpose building or grandstand, a rubberized oval, a covered basketball court, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and an athlete dormitory.
During the ceremony, SBM Gerard G. Ostrea, Hon. Ramon Torres, Dr. Eduardo C. Corpuz (MLUC Chancellor), Dr. Priscilo P. Fontanilla, Jr. (VP, Planning and Resource Development), Dr. Lilito D. Gavina (Director, Planning and Development), Engr. Rudy Ducusin (Pagtaengan Builders), other DMMMSU Officials, and student leaders were also present. The new academic building is expected to provide additional learning facilities and resources for students in the Mid La Union Campus.
The groundbreaking ceremony marks an important milestone in the development of the MLUC Sports Complex project and demonstrates the commitment of DMMMSU to providing world-class academic and sports facilities to its students. This initiative is a testament to the University’s dedication to producing well-rounded graduates who are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their chosen fields.
