The University Management and Information System (MIS) Team headed by its Director, Dr. Stephan Kupsch, has recently turned over three (3) sets of Virtual Reality Equipment and five (5) computer sets to NLUC Main Library.
The said equipment will be used for Virtual Reality Learning Experience at the Online Resource Center which will be housed at the NLUC Main Library.
The VR Equipment is hoped to further enhance students’ learning as it provides immersive, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences. Students can go on field trips and adventures through the VR lens. Students will have the opportunity to interact and explore a 3D environment and experience impactful, memorable learning.
The Online Resource Center Virtual Reality Learning Experience is part of the Smart Campus Project of the MIS under the Commission on Higher Education – Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (CHED-IDIG).
DMMMSU is the first library in La Union to offer Virtual Reality Learning Experience to its clientele.
Faculty members may bring their students to experience VR Learning. They can coordinate with NLUC Librarians for visit schedules. (by Sheena R. Pardilla)
