In an effort to explore more internationalization opportunities, DMMMSU participated in the workshop and clustering sessions of selected Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) at the Rizal Technological University (RTU) last February 20, 2023.
Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr, represented by Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Jesus Rafael B. Jarata, Director for Internationalization Linkages and ETEEAP, identified institutional priorities aligned with the ATN namely 1) Health and Well-being, 2) Food Safety and Security, 3) Renewable and Clean Energy, 4) Climate Change and Sustainability, and 5) Engineering and Disruptive Innovation.
This is in preparation for the upcoming PH Technology Network (PTN)- Australian Technology Network (ATN) Academic Collaboration and visit of ATN officials on March 17-18, 2023.
Earlier, DMMMSU, along with other universities selected by CHED, also attended a Coordination Meeting with the Commission at University Hotel, UP Campus, Diliman, Quezon City on February 6, 2023.
DMMMSU’s inclusion to the network is an offshoot from the engagement of Dr. Pacho and Dr. Estrella N. Perez, Former Vice President for Administration, to the 35th Australian International Education Conference (AIEC) held in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia in October 2022.
