Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) signed MOA with the Department of Education (DepEd) in Dagupan City, Pangasinan II, City of San Fernando, and La Union.

Their partnership is geared towards ensuring a quality pre-service training program that will provide teacher interns with opportunities to develop the competencies set for Beginning Teachers in the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST); apply their theoretical knowledge and pedagogical skills in actual teaching-learning situations; gain a comprehensive and realistic perspective of the teaching-learning situation and day-to-day school activities; reflect on their qualities and commitment vis-á-vis the demands of the teaching profession; and equip them for the challenges of teaching in the new normal.

To represent DMMMSU, President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. signed MOA with DepEd RO-1 Director, Dr. Tolentino G. Aquino; and Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) of the City of San Fernando, Dr. Rowena C. Banzon; SDS of Pangasinan II (represented by Asst. SDS Wilfredo Sindayen); Dr. Lorna G. Bugayong; SDS La Union, Atyy. – Dr. Donato D. Balderas, Jr.; and SDS Dagupan City, Dr. Aguedo C. Fernandez.

Also present to serve as witnesses were Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, Vice President for Academic Affairs of DMMMSU and Dr. Juan Primitivo P. Petrola, Education Supervisor II of CHED-RO-1. Other DMMMSU Officials present during the MOA signing include Dr. Joanne C. Rivera, Dr. Junifer Rey E. Tabafunda, Jr., Dr. Critita C. Guerra, Dr. Nona M. Riviera, Dr. Nora A.
