Five BS Electrical Engineering students of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus romped away with gold as they edged out 6 schools in Region 1 and bagged the championship trophy during the 35th Regional Quiz Show held in consonance with the 17th Regional Student Conference.
The group was led by Bethee Mae Balanag with team members Glenn Rondale E. Eugenio, Joshua M. Milanes, Renadel Luh M. Licuanan, and Christian G. Arceo. They were supported by their mentors Engr. Dwight Kristian A. Flores and Engr. Alliver B. Sapitula.
Delegates from University of Saint Louis – Tuguegarao and from Mariano Marcos State University landed 2nd place and 3rd place, respectively.
The 2022 Regional Student Conference which was held virtually on October 28, 2022 was anchored in the theme “EEnitiate: Innovating your sucEEss amidst the challenges of the future”. The conference aims to gather students in Region 1 who are enrolled in BS Electrical Engineering.
Aside from the regional quiz show, this year’s RSCON also featured the 21st Regional Math Wizard. (Jerald Saculles)
