Three agribusiness experts from the Institute of Agribusiness Management (IABM) of the North La Union Campus namely Dr. Arnelie Laquidan, IABM-Director; and Dr. Joana Quinquito, and Ms. Leny Grace Garcia, both IABM faculty members served as resource speakers during the Capability Trainings on Financial Management and Bookkeeping for the Balik Probinsiya, Bagong Pag-asa (BP2) Program beneficiaries. The trainings were facilitated by the Department of Agriculture-Region 1 Office.

The three DMMMSU faculty members discussed topics namely Concepts on Agribusiness Financial Literacy, Identifying Business along Value Chain, Farm Record Keeping and Bookkeeping, and Business Model Canvass at Kabalayen Cove Resorts, San Carlos City, Pangasinan on September 1-2; at Puerto de San Juan, San Juan, La Union on September 7-8; at NSCC Hotel Vigan, Vigan City Ilocos Sur on September 22-23; and Paoay Lake JLP Resort, Paoay, Ilocos Norte on October 3-4, 2022.

BP2 Program is one of the programs of DA that aims to enhance the resilience of farmers and fisher-folk to climate hazards by establishing BP2 Villages composed of local farmers in a specific area. (Ayu)
