As the university ramps up its attempts to become more globally connected as part of the internationalization strategic plan, Dr. Nora A. Oredina and Atty. Rozanne Buccat Villamin become the first DMMMSU personnel to travel abroad to present research outputs after two long years of travel restrictions due to pandemic.

Dr. Oredina, Dean of the College of Education (NLUC) and Atty. Villamin, University Legal Officer, attended the 32nd European Conference on Operational Research (Euro 2022) at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland last July 3-6, 2022.

The EURO Conference included outstanding plenary, keynote and tutorial talks presenting the contributions of Operations Research to timely grand challenges such as COVID-19, humanitarian decision making and collaboration, catastrophe risk management, fairness in resource allocation, and the transformation of our energy, industrial, and mobility systems.
