Twenty-four students from the four Academic Operating Units of DMMMSU successfully completed the course, “An Introduction to Korean for Beginners”, offered by the Department of Korean Language and Korean Literature- School of Humanities in Kangwon National University, South Korea—during the 2022 Online KNU Summer Program that run from July 18 to 29, 2022.

For the past three years, DMMMSU and KNU have been working on various online and onsite programs, where DMMMSU students take programs to learn about Korean culture and heritage.

KNU is one of the 10 core national universities in the Republic of Korea. With a history of over 70 years, KNU has been making sincere efforts to respond to the rapidly changing global era.

Particularly, KNU has been actively inviting DMMMSU students in various international development cooperation activities since 2019.

The KNU Summer Program provided foreign students from partner — universities with an enriching cultural and educational experience for two weeks in the summer session. Invited students interacted with enrolled students of KNU. Successful completers earned two university credits and tuition exemption. (Jesus Rafael B. Jarata)
