The National Apiculture Research, Training, and Development Institute (NARTDI) celebrated the Philippine Environment Month through a tree planting activity at the Bee Pasture Area, DMMMSU-NLUC on June 22, 2022 at the Bee Pasture Area, DMMMSU-NLUC. A total of 210 seedlings of trees and palm trees were planted –19 bani, 30 calliandra, 15 alibangbang, 57 Philippine cherry, and 89 palm trees.

“Planting a variety of bee plants will not just help combat global warming but it also helps protect the bees by providing them nectar and pollen,” Mr. Rizalde A. Claro, Environmental Management In-charge, explained.

The said activity was participated in by 30 NARTDI personnel and 8 students undergoing on-the-job training in the Institute. (Lester Orpilla)
