DMMMSU joined the rest of the nation in the conduct of National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on March 10, 2022. This activity was facilitated by the University’s Committee on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management chaired by University Coordinator for Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM), Prof. Randulph Navasca, along with Campus DRRM Coordinators and College Facilitators. DMMMSU employees executed the “duck, cover and hold” at the sound of the siren.

This year’s first Online NSED was live streamed via the Facebook pages of Civil Defense PH and the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council so that viewers can “duck, cover, and hold” from their houses and offices once the ceremonial alarm sounds.

NSED is a quarterly major endeavor spearheaded by the Office of Civil Defense to enhance earthquake preparedness through the regular conduct of drills/exercises among the line agencies, LGUs and other government instrumentalities. (Zander Christopher Mercado)
