DMMMSU-NLUC conducted a program for the opening of limited face-to-face classes for the Institute of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (IABE) on March 7, 2022 at the BPAA Complex Audio-Visual Room.

The NLUC Administration headed by the Chancellor Junifer Rey E. Tabafunda together with the University President, Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Elsie M. Pacho warmly welcomed the fourth year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Bioystems Engineering (BSABE) program.

“I am very much elated to welcome you our dear students to DMMMSU-NLUC,” Dr. Tabafunda expressed in his speech.

“We are committed to be partnering with you as you participate in this exciting educational journey amid the global pandemic. Your hard work and perseverance during this pandemic manifest your grit. Continue to mobilize and aspire for change,” he added.

The 16 fourth year BSABE students were presented by Engr. Roel D. Supsup, Director of IABE.

These students were characterized by President Manuel, Jr. as “the lucky and brave 16”. He also encouraged them to continue and to inspire other students who are still afraid and uncertain for onsite classes.

“DMMMSU triumphed over CoViD because it has not stopped from doing its part in making our students learn what they need to battle many challenges. So encourage your classmates who are still nervous to come for limited face to face for definitely you will all be in school by next school year,” he said.   

Dr. Manuel, Jr. also presented some of the achievements of the University during the pandemic and thanked these students for their courage for onsite classes amid pandemic.

In closing, Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, the Vice President for Academic Affairs congratulated NLUC personnel and stakeholders for their dedication to their work, their willingness to adapt to changes and challenges, and the success of the opening of limite face-to-face classes.

“I am truly humbled and in awe of your willingness to adapt and of your dedication on the work you are doing. Today, we dedicate the success of the reopening of our Campuses and the University because we have dedicated and competent employees in the University. To our students who are determined to pursue their dreams and wanted to learn with us, congratulations and welcome back to the Campus and to the University,” she expressed.

The BS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering are the pilot program of NLUC for the opening of limited face to face classes.
