Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University produced new educators as 20 (62.5%) elementary teachers and 52 (73.24%) secondary teachers across all its campuses. They passed the recently conducted September 2021 Licensure Examination for Teachers. DMMMSU surpassed the national passing rate of 55.96% and 57.76% for elementary teachers and secondary teachers, respectively.
Significantly, DMMMSU Mid-La Union Campus and the DMMMSU Open University System romped away with 100% passing rate for secondary level while DMMMSU North La Union Campus registered 100% passing rate for the elementary level. Meanwhile, DMMMSU SLUC with the highest number of takers recorded rates higher than those of the national passing rates.
“We are so proud of the success of our graduates in the Teacher Education programs offered across the different campuses in our university,” Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, DMMMSU Vice President for Academic Affairs mentioned during a quick exchange.
Dr. Pacho also expressed her best wishes to the newly licensed teachers and her trust and hope that they will always live up to the qualities instilled in them by DMMMSU.
PRC administered the First Batch of LET during the COVID-19 pandemic on September 26, 2021 in at least 26 testing centers in the following provinces: Bacolod, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Catanduanes, Catarman, Cauayan, Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Jolo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Marinduque, Masbate, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Tawi-tawi, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga. The second to fourth batches of licensure exams will be held in 2022. (PRC,2021).
