In line with the celebration of the Environmental Awareness Month, National Clean Air Month, and Climate Change Consciousness Week, DMMMSU National Service Training Program (NSTP) students from various campuses participated in the Virtual Environment Summit 2021 of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) via Zoom and Facebook Live, November 20, 2021.

The summit was graced by two resource speakers namely: Mr. Aldjumar De Guzman, Environmental Management Specialist II, for a talk on Climate Change and Climate Action; and Ms. Thelma Cinco, Weather Services Chief of Northern Luzon-PAGASA, for a discussion on the Impacts of Climate Change in the Philippines.

Along with NSTP students from DMMMSU, students from LORMA Colleges also attended the summit.

Through the summit, the students were reminded of their moral responsibility to maintain the environment and support the planet’s long-term sustainability for future generations. (Marice Laguerta | MLUC Voice)
