Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr. met the newly elected University Student Council (USC) officers during their courtesy on October 21, 2021.

During the meeting, Dr. Manuel reminisced his time as the former USC President from 1989-1990. He shared the challenges and successes he experienced as a student leader and the sacrifices and decisions he made for his academics and extra-curricular activities. He also talked about the administration’s plans for the betterment of the University such as building more classrooms to accommodate the thousands of students when the modality of learning goes back to normal. In addition, he entreated the officers to encourage the students from different Campuses to get vaccinated in preparation for the limited face-to-face classes. Lastly, he reminded the Council that he is always ready to listen to students’ concerns.

“It is an honor and pleasure to meet our University President. We will always remember his words of wisdom for the rest of our lives. We will also use his experiences as the former USC President as an inspiration and motivation in serving the students of DMMMSU,” Hon. Denver N.
