DMMMSU Library-on-air invited Hon. Lourdes T. David as a special guest on its segment aired on August 20, 2021. It was a promotional segment aimed at enlightening the viewers and listeners on the value and role of librarianship in the society.

During the one-hour discourse which was anchored by Ms. Charity Frianeza of the DZAG, and Ms. Ana Nova Parrocha of SLUC Library, Hon. David discussed on the brief history of Philippine Librarianship, professionalism and the scope practice of librarianship, the librarian licensure examination, career opportunities, the renewal of license, roster of librarians, and the plans and programs of the Professional Regulatory Board for Librarians (PRBL).

Hon. Lourdes T. David is the former Director of the Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University. In 2008, she received Outstanding Professional of the Year Award in the field of Library Science given by the Professional Regulation Commission. She is a member of the Philippine Library Association where she was a one-time President, the American Library Association, and the International Association of School Librarians. Also, she has been a consultant of various organizations such as WHO, Ford Foundation, DOST, and UNESCO. Hon. David is a renowned international library science expert, a pioneer of Philippine Librarianship, a research enthusiast. She is the current Chair of PRBFL. 

DMMMSU Library-on-air is a regular program of the library in collaboration with DZAG 97.1 Radyo Pilipinas, Agoo. This is aired at the Main Library of the South La Union Campus, Agoo, La Union on Thursdays and Fridays at 10:00 AM.  (Kethley Joyce Perona, Ana Nova Parrocha)
