A total of 393 vaccines against COVID-19 were administered among DMMMSU employees in three vaccination sites on August 5 – 7, 2021. The vaccination activity started in the North La Union Campus (NLUC) where employees from NARTDI, SRDI, and the Central Administration were also accommodated. One hundred twenty (120) shots were administered in NLUC, the same number of jabs were given to SLUC employees, and 153 doses were administered among employees in MLUC.
During this first wave of mass vaccination in DMMMSU, seniors and those with co-morbidities were given priority. This vaccination activity was facilitated by the Health Services Units of the three (3) campuses headed by Dr. Maria Consuelo W. Alcantara, Director for Medical Services in partnership with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) headed by Dr. Eduardo S. Posadas.
This activity is also in support of Department of Health’s (DOH) campaign, “RESBAKUNA: Kasangga ng BIDA”, which has been launched as a national vaccination program against COVID-19. The nationwide vaccine roll-out is now catering to those under A4 category where DMMMSU employees belong. (Alvin John L. Coloma)
