Today, June 14, 2021, is not a Manic Monday for DMMMSU Officials. Donned in Barong and masks, Officials from NARTDI, OUS, SLUC, and NLUC pulled themselves up before the break of day and assembled at the country’s Greenest Campus, NLUC, for their Flag Raising Ceremony which started at 7 a.m.

DMMMSU University and Campus Officials led by the 4 Vice Presidents namely Dr. Honorio C. Buccat, VP for Academic Affairs; Dr. Estrella N. Perez, VP for Administration; Dr. Cynthia M. Rodriguez, VP for Research and Development; Dr. Priscilo P. Fontanilla, Jr., VP for Planning and Resource Development as well as Campus Chancellors and Executive Directors were inducted into office by President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. These officials are going to serve a 2-year term, from June 14, 2021 to June 13, 2023.

In his speech, President Manuel referred to the officials as his partners in making DMMMSU a better University.

“We made significant accomplishments during the past two years and with you as my partners, we can further make this University better. With you, I know I will never fail,” he remarked.

During his closing remarks, VP Buccat encouraged the officials: “May you always be guided by the spirit of good and quality service, and may you always be available to extend the necessary service to our stakeholders—just, competent, and dedicated service.”

He quoted Confucius as he reminded his fellow servants in the government that they are like the North Star placed in a wide position with all other stars.

He continued: “As we pursue our mandate in our respective offices, may we be able to achieve that dream of providing quality education to our stakeholders, and may we be able to make this University a truly great University in this country, a recognized University all over the world.”

MLUC Officials were inducted into office on June 8, 2021 by President Manuel. He was accompanied by the VPs.
