About 60 DMMMSU personnel from SLUC, MLUC and NLUC participated in the two-week Digital Boot Camp on Career Comm Dynamics: The Art and Science of Effective Communication in Globalized Workplace on May 31 to June 11, 2021.

Initiated by the BA Communication program, under the College of Arts and Sciences, and funded by the University, the digital boot camp was done through four scheduled and unguided modules via Google Classroom— with two virtual live sessions via Zoom at the end of each week.

Mr. Paul Enrico Centro, Senior Manager of Unilever Philippines, served as the learning specialist for Week 1, and led the participants through discussions of theoretical and practical applications of workplace communication, simulations, activities and group presentations as validation of organizational communication practices.

Mr. Justin Paul Marbella, Information Officer of DOLE-RO1 led Week 2. Having served various functions in public information and social marketing for government offices such as OWWA, PGLU and DOLE, he shared his knowledge and experiences in government communication and social media management and branding.

During their keynote speeches, SLUC OIC- Chancellor Dr. Nona M. Rivera and CAS Dean Dr. Raquel D. Quiambao stressed the role of effective communication in the management of organization’s day-to-day activities.
