Having registered 10 utility models in 2020 and 1 in 2019, Prof. Anabella G. Valdez is hailed as DMMMSU’s UM Champion.

In 2019, Prof. Valdez registered the UM titled “A process of preparing bitter chevon stew (Pinapaitan) Bouillon cube”.
Prof. Valdez was awarded by the University Php 30, 000 per UM. With her 11 IP registrations, she earned a total of Php 330, 000. 00 making her the highest earner of incentives.
Prof. Valdez has just developed new products – ready to eat fish of various species. She is also currently preparing proposals on the development of value added products of salt for SALT NICER program of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD).
A full-fledged professor, Prof. Valdez is a third party member of DOST-1 Regional Technical Evaluation Committee and member of the pool of experts of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD). (Ayu)
