Arturo D. Chua Jr. and Freddie M. Juancito Jr., DMMMSU – Institute of Criminal Justice Education (ICJE) students, were awarded Outstanding Criminology Students of the Philippines by Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines (PCAP) during PCAP National awarding ceremonies for Outstanding Criminologist and Criminology Student of the Year held virtually and was live streamed on Facebook and Mindanao Daily News Teleradyo) on December 18, 2020.

These 2 national awardees were nominated by their Institute Director, Aurora R. Laroya, to PCAP-R1. They were evaluated on academic and extra-curricular performance, leadership achievement, and exemplification on social responsibility, character and values. Also, they underwent an interview with PCAP R1 President, Dr. Ambrosio Detran along with two (2) other panellists on November 26, 2020. After meeting the qualifications, these 2 students were nominated to the National Level.

The search for 2020 PCAP Outstanding Criminologist and Criminology Students of the Year is conducted annually by PCAP and spearheaded by its National President, Dr. Gerry Caňo. (ARillera)
