On September 1, 2020, Ms. Bernadita Cacho, the Chief of the Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Authority (DOJ-PPA) Regional Office 1 together with Probation Officers, Ms. Sayra Valdez, Krista Charisma Oineza and Jennifer Villafrones received 60 packs of assorted seedlings from DOUS under the e-Extension Project Tanglaw headed by Claudia Denise P. Barbadillo.

DOUS Executive Director, Dr. Joanne C. Rivera, and the Chief of Continuing Professional Education and Development (CPED), Dr. Cristita G. Guerra, represented DOUS. The distribution of seed packs is part of the agricultural activity meant to help PPA clients in food generation through planting as a means of coping during the pandemic. PPA Probation Supervisors will be monitoring the planting of seedlings.

The e-Extension Project Tanglaw is now in its second year of implementation, with the “Kapihan sa DMMMSU” as its main platform in collaboration with 97.1 DZAG Radyo Pilipinas Agoo. The program runs every Tuesday at 9am via DZAG and DOUS Facebook page.
