Fer-Gie Navarro’s Farm based in Damortis, Sto. Tomas, La Union shared six cans of assorted vegetable seeds to the DMMMSU Open University System on June 29, 2020 for distribution to its extension program clients.

These vegetable seeds will be repacked and distributed to DOUS extension program clients, particularly vegetable farmers and those interested in vegetable farming.

The DOUS is proposing to offer a Certificate in Agriculture program as part of its Continuing Professional Education and Development program (CPED).  Since vegetable farming is on the trend, the seeds will be used by the DOUS clients in their hands-on training.

Mr. Ferdinand Navarro, owner of Fer-Gie Farm and also  a faculty member of DMMMSU South La Union Campus – College of Agriculture, will also serve as resource person in the upcoming Kapihan sa DMMMSU episode on vegetable farming
