Faculty members of DMMMSU Open University System are now better equipped to conduct research after attending an in-house seminar on research ethics and the use of Turnitin, an internet-based plagiarism detection service at the DOUS compound on June 3, 2020.
Mr. Farland Valera discussed basic research ethics principles and stressed the importance of the research participants/subjects who are also regarded as co-researchers.
Meanwhile, Dr. Amy Balcita guided the DOUS faculty on how to use Turnitin where they can detect plagiarism in students’ works.
Aside from its robust feedback and grading features, Turnitin has an imbedded learning management system which the DOUS faculty members will be using this mid-year term, SY 2019-2020.
