DMMMSU-SLUC College Admission Team, defying the risks of close contacts and crowded places, brought to La Union and Pangasinan college admission forms for incoming freshmen and transferees.
On May 12, 2020 the College Admission Team visited the Municipalities of La Union, particularly Pugo, Tubao, Aringay, Caba, Agoo, Sto. Tomas, and Rosario.
On May 19, they went to the towns of Western Pangasinan namely San Fabian, Mangaldan, Manaoag, San Jacinto, Sta. Barbara, and Calasiao.
Today, May 20, they went to the towns of Eastern Pangasinan namely Sison, Pozorrubio, Laoac, Binalonan, Urdaneta, Villasis.
For each municipality, they left university admission forms, posters containing information on admission process and requirements, and boxes where interested incoming freshmen and transferees may drop their admission requirements.
The College Admission Team composed of Prof. Jo Ann P. Rulla of the Student Affairs Office, Prof. Melody P. Tumanan, of the Scholarship Office, and Ms. Cecil S. Sanches and Ms. Irene T. Alcantara of the Guidance and Counselling Office, will retrieve these submitted requirements on the second week of June and at the same time do their second round of distribution of college admission forms. Accompanying the team are Mr. Aries Ugay and Mr. Nixon Aquino.
This project of the team meant to reach out to incoming college students from remote places of La Union and Pangasinan, to help solve their concern on lack of internet connection for a supposed online application, and to free them from the difficulty of securing travel pass and the risks of travelling and exposure to SARS-CoV-2.
Prof. Rulla narrated that the Municipal Mayors were all grateful for DMMMSU’s efforts in delivering admission forms to their respective towns. The team were further assured that the good news will reach interested students from various barangays as Barangay Captains and other officials are advised to inform them about the availability of the forms in their respective Municipal Halls.
The forms distributed can be used for the entire University; hence, students from these places who intend to enroll in other campuses and the Open University System of DMMMSU may avail of the same forms. In addition, the same forms bear the various courses offered in the whole University.
Those who are interested in applying online are encouraged to visit our official website: www.dmmmsu.edu.ph.
Application for admission started on May 18, 2020 and ends on June 30, 2020. (Ayu)
