In support of DMMMSU para sa Elyu, Social Amelioration Program of DMMMSU initiated by President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., DMMMSU-NLUC led by Chancellor Junifer Rey Tabafunda, sent food and medical commodities, face masks, and face shields to frontliners at Bacnotan and Balaoan, La Union.
Today, April 6, 2020, DMMMSU-NLUC personnel distributed 85 bottles of pickled seaweeds, 63 bottles of “fish paste (padas), 450 pieces of puto, 6 packs of 3-in-1 coffee, 4 packs of instant chocolate drink, 6 packs of biscuits, 5 packs of bottled water and 2 packs of softdrinks to checkpoints and hospitals at Bacnotan and Balaoan, La Union.
In addition, they also gave 200 face masks and 220 face shields, which were crafted by NLUC Faculty Association and Non-Teaching Association. The same groups also responded to the call for donations by NLUC administration; hence, they were able to send aids.
Last March 24, DMMMSU-NLUC also distributed bottles of sanitizer to identified security workforce at surrounding barangays.
Meanwhile, DMMMSU-NLUC has been providing sustenance to 14 students who were not able to go home because of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
DMMMSU-NLUC Administration extends its appreciation to the Faculty and Non-Teaching Association, the Campus Student Body Organization, NLUC Alumni, and the campus CDRRM who have unselfishly sacrificed their time, skills, and resources for these undertakings.
Another wave of donations are being prepared for Bacnotan and Balaoan frontliners.
