As a highlight of the activities being held during the University Foundation Anniversary Day Celebration, DMMMSU held the University Awards and Recognition Program on January 16, 2020 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon with the theme “@39, DMMMSU sours higher and brighter.”
The following were the major awardees: John Mark G. Lachica, Faculty of the Year; Jesus V. Extension Worker of the Year; NLUC Fastfood Center, IGP Manager of the Year; Therese P. Palacpac, Employee of the Year (Office Worker Category); Patricio P. Dulatre, Employee of the Year (General Services Worker Category); Michael B. Cepillo, Student Leader of the Year; Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP), Student Organization of the Year; College of Arts and Sciences SLUC, 2019 Best Academic Unit; College of Computer Sciences (SLUC), First Runner-up Best Academic Program; and College of College of Information Technology (MLUC), Second Runner-up, Best Academic Program. Bachelor of Science in Fisheries was 2019 Best Board Program, Bachelor of Secondary Education of the College of Education of SLUC was the First Runner-up, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the College of Engineering of MLUC was the Second Runner-up.
The University also gave special awards, namely: CSC Awardee, Board Topnotchers, Research Publications, Research Paper/ Poster Presentations, Intellectual Property- Utility Models, Intellectual Property- Trademarks, Intellectual Property- Copyrights. Benefactors and past administrators were also awarded.
Dr. J Prospero de Vera III, Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the awards. (hem/ayu)
