Without leaving their work stations, some teachers and office personnel of the Philippine Science High School System (PSHSS) Ilocos Region campus in San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur can now earn units in professional education, thanks to the DOUS Continuing Professional Education program (CPEd).

This is a training program funded by the Department of Science and Technology for 29 scholars of PSHSS-Ilocos Region campus. The program runs from Sept. 2019 to May 2020 where the scholars get to earn 18 units, qualifying them to take the Licensure Exam for Teachers. A Learning Skills Seminar for Distance Learners was held on their first meeting to help prepare them for modular instruction.
